What’s On Cambodia (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our website (the “Site”) and mobile application (the “App”). By using the Site or App (together, the “Services”), you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1) Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
(When you create an event organizer account)
- Account details: name, email, password (hashed), business name.
- Organizer content: event titles/descriptions, dates/times, location, category, uploaded images.
- Support/requests: messages you send us, preferences, feedback.
- Billing: subscription status and metadata from our payment processor. All card details are handled by Stripe, not What’s On Cambodia.
b) Information collected automatically
- Device/usage data: browser type, OS, IP, timestamps, pages viewed, approximate location (via IP).
- Cookies/local storage for login sessions, preferences, analytics.
c) Mobile device data
Your precise location is not required for core features.
If enabled when you create an event organizer account, the App may access camera/photos for event image uploads.
2) How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Process subscriptions/payments and manage plan allowances.
- Communicate with you (emails, updates, change-request notices).
- Protect against fraud/abuse and enforce Terms.
- With your consent, send marketing/product updates.
Legal bases (EEA/UK): Contract, Legitimate interests, Consent, and Legal obligation.
3) Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data. We may share necessary information with the following service providers/processors:
- Supabase (auth, database, file storage for event images)
- Netlify (hosting/serverless functions)
- Stripe (payments)
- Outlook Email
- Legal authorities to comply with law, subpoenas, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business transfers as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (we’ll require the recipient to honor this Policy).
4) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, perform analytics, and improve the Services. You can control cookies via your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Learn more at allaboutcookies.org.

5) Your Choices & Rights
- Analytics/ads: You can manage consent in the banner (if shown) or via browser controls.
- Access/Correction/Deletion: If you have an account, you can update info in the dashboard. You may also request deletion or portability by contacting contact@whatsoncambodia.com (we may retain limited data as required by law or for legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and accounting).
- Permissions: You can revoke camera/photo/location permissions in your device settings.
6) Data Retention
We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Organizer events/images may persist in backups for a limited period after deletion.
7) International Transfers
We operate using infrastructure that may be located outside your country (e.g., the United States or other regions where our processors host data). Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., HTTPS, role-based access, encrypted storage). No method is 100% secure; please protect your credentials and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
9) Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for children. Services are intended for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
10) Do Not Track
Your browser may send “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Because there is no common industry standard, we do not currently respond. You can still manage cookies/consents as noted above.
11) Third-Party Links
Services may link to third-party websites/apps, such as Google Maps. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.
12) Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post updates here with a new “Last Updated” date. If changes are material, we’ll provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
